The entrepreneurial cell of IIT Kharagpur is going to organise the Global Entrepreneurship summit (GSE) from January 8th to January 10th. The summit which brings together academicians, new-age entrepreneurs, eminent business personalities, venture capitalists and students in platform will kick start with an opening ceremony on Friday.
The key speakers for the ceremony are renowned civil service officer, former cabinet member and Padma Bhushan Awardee Mr. B.K. Chaturvedi and Chitra Ramakrishna, first woman CEO and Managing Director of National Stock Exchange.
The GES, the only such conference on entrepreneurship boasts of having invited stalwarts like Rajat Sharma (Founder and CEO of India TV), Suneet Singh Tuli (founder of Aakash Tablet), Sundar Pichai (CEO, Google) in its previous editions.
This year, the conference is scheduled to have various panel discussions, talks, workshops, debates and quizzes. Some of the exciting events are workshops on cloud computing, currency and commodity markets, surviving in competition with Angel investor backing. Panel discussions on E-commerce vs Retail—Future of Online Retailing, Scope of tech start-ups in India, an E-quiz and various other events are planned.
The conference will come to an end on January 10th, with a closing ceremony by Ms. Vani Kola, venture capitalist and Managing Director of Kalaari Capital and Mr. Nishant Rao, Global COO at Freshdesk & Chairman, IAMAI.
