Kickstart Jobs raises seed funding from ah! Ventures

Talent acquisition startup Kickstart Jobs, which is now focusing more on blue and grey collar entry level workforce, has raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding from a group of investors led by ah! Ventures.

Investors participating in the round included Vivek Joshi, founder of Wyzen Tech, Mohit Satyanand, chairman of Team Works Art; Amit Banati, president of Asia Pacific, Kellogg’s and Arun Khanna, president of Asia, Dun and Bradstreet.

Harshad Lahoti, the founder and CEO of ah! Ventures said, “As an investor, the growth that is about to unfold in this entry-level jobs sector in the near future is evident to me. This growth and spurt of service offerings in the sector are especially lucrative for the currently existing workforce of over 500+ million in the blue & grey collar ecosystem of India.”

“Given the fact that this number is increasing at about 12 million per year, the need to effectively harness these human resources becomes all the more essential,” Lahoti added.

Founded in 2015 by XLRI Jamshedpur graduate Samriddhi Malhotra and a mechanical engineer from ISM Dhanbad, Abhishek Srivastava, the Gurgaon-based company is focused towards helping the entry-level workforce connect with prospective employers. It is currently operational in Delhi, Noida and Gurgaon.

In a year, the startup is already operational in Delhi, Noida and Gurgaon, with a workforce of 10 employees and 2 promoters. It has over 5000 registered candidates, enlisted about 3000 vacancies, and has conducted more than 2000 interviews.

The startup claims to have a 100% month on month growth, in the number of candidates scheduled for interviews via their platform.
