Chennai-based speech recognition solutions company Uniphore Software Systems has announced the appointment of Douglas Peris as the General Manager, Asia Pacific & Middle East. Peris will be handling operations from Singapore and will be responsible for new customer acquisitions and expanding partner relationships in the two areas.

In a statement made by Peris himself, he said that he is privileged to be a part of Uniphore’s team and looks forward working with an organisation to introduce innovative technology to the market.
Uniphore is headquartered in IIT-Madras Research Park, Chennai and was founded in 2008. It has offices in India, Philippines and U.A.E with a strength of around 80 employees. Kris Gopalkrishnan, IDG Ventures India, India Angel Network, Yournest Fund, Stata Ventures have invested in the company so far. In 2014, it was recognized by Deloitte as a Technology Fast 500 company in Asia Pacific and Technology Fast 50 company in India.
