Prop Tiger acquires Gurgaon-based 3DPhy

Aiming to further advance its technological platform and enhance its hi-tech marketing solutions for developers, online real estate advisor Prop Tiger has reportedly acquired Gurgaon-based startup AR, VR and 3D visualisations startup 3DPhy.

PropTiger had recently acquired Bengaluru-based interactive technology firm OoBi.



In a statement, the company made cleared its objective to offer greater flexibility and choice and improved user experience to its customers by providing holistic, end-to-end technology and consulting solutions.

Dhruv Agarwala, the CEO of PropTiger. com and makaan.com, said, “With mobile devices overtaking desktops, the real estate sector has become one of the prime sectors where people want to have the ability to search anywhere and anytime, and that is a big priority for us. This deal further solidifies our lead in the industry.”

This new acquisition will also help PropTiger make its home search experience more immersive. It has innovative features like virtual walk-throughs, which will further be optimised by 3DPhy enabled builders and brokers to showcase multiple properties over phones, laptops, tablets or head-mounted devices.

Amit Shekhar, the co-founder and CEO of 3DPhy, said, “Together, we will offer a comprehensive technological solution to meet the changing needs of our customers. 3DPhy creates and simulates a near-real experience for prospective buyers through 360-degree panoramas and virtual tours. These tools allow home buyers to not just “see” the surroundings, but also “walk” in them and effectively judge the sizes, shapes, spaces, and dimensions.

The startup was founded by a group of IIT Kharagpur alumni— Amit Shekhar, Rajeev Kumar, Uttam Kumar and Raghvendra Polinki.
