Aditya Kumar is the Founder and CEO of Qbera, an online lending start-up providing fast, frictionless, and fair personal loans to professionals. With over 12 years of experience across various industries such as financial services, investment banking, manufacturing, hospitality and education, his foray into entrepreneurship is the latest addition to his diverse career graph. With a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Warwick University and a Masters in Real Estate Investment from Cass Business School, Aditya began his career as an investment banker at Lehman Brothers in London.He then held key leadership positions in several leading companies in hospitality and textile manufacturing sectors in India. He served as the Chief Investment Officer at Clarks Group of Hotels in New Delhi, and as the Executive Director at Indus Intex, a textile manufacturing company in Bangalore. In 2011, Aditya co-founded Oaktree International School, Kolkata's first co-educational, residential International Baccalaureate school. Aditya identified the growing market need for efficient online lending services that provided quick funds and focussed on the personal finance requirements of salaried professionals in the country who are unable to obtain institutional funds due to various reasons. With an aim to fulfil this need with a solution that addressed the limitations of traditional banking, Aditya founded Qbera, an online lending platform that provides fast and convenient personal loans to applicants. Creditexchange (parent company of Qbera) was founded in 2015, and Qbera’s online platform was launched in January 2017. Qbera provides personal loans to professionals through an end-to-end digital platform, enabling transfer of funds to the borrower within 24 hours of receiving the online application.The company offers unsecured personal loans of up to Rs. 5 lakh, following an online delivery model to ensure a seamless process of transferring funds to borrowers.
