Wipro and Factory Partner to Accelerate Agent-Native Software Development Worldwide

Wipro Limited has announced a strategic partnership with Factory, an emerging leader in agent-native software development, marking a significant step toward large-scale adoption of autonomous AI agents in enterprise engineering. The collaboration aims to help global organizations move beyond experimentation and operationalize agent-native development across their software teams.

As part of the announcement, Wipro Ventures—the corporate investment arm of Wipro—also confirmed its participation in Factory’s latest funding round, deepening the relationship between the two companies and reinforcing Wipro’s long-term bet on AI-led software innovation.

Bringing Agent-Native Development to the Enterprise

Factory’s platform is built around AI agents, known as “Droids,” that can take on substantial portions of the software development lifecycle. These agents are designed to handle tasks such as feature development, refactoring, migrations, and testing, while maintaining architectural consistency and established engineering standards.

Unlike traditional AI coding tools focused on autocomplete or snippets, Factory emphasizes delegation. Engineers orchestrate and supervise AI agents, allowing teams to scale output, improve efficiency, and reduce development timelines without compromising quality or governance.

Integration with Wipro’s AI Delivery Platforms

Wipro plans to integrate Factory’s capabilities into its WEGA agent-native delivery platform, further strengthening Wipro Intelligence™, the company’s unified suite of AI-powered platforms and solutions. The rollout will extend Factory’s technology across tens of thousands of Wipro engineers globally.

This integration is expected to accelerate the creation of production-ready code, shorten innovation cycles, and enhance software quality for enterprise clients. Wipro will offer Factory-enabled solutions across key industries, including banking and financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, and technology.

According to Sandhya Arun, Chief Technology Officer at Wipro Limited, the partnership reflects a broader shift in enterprise technology. She noted that organizations are moving rapidly from AI experimentation to production-scale deployment, with agent-native development emerging as a core pillar of modern engineering transformation.

Strategic Investment Signals Long-Term Commitment

Wipro Ventures’ investment in Factory underscores growing confidence in agent-native platforms as a foundational layer for enterprise software development. Managing Partner Ali Wasti highlighted that enterprises face mounting pressure to innovate faster while maintaining security and reliability—an area where AI agents, when deployed responsibly, can offer a competitive edge.

Factory’s leadership sees the partnership as a catalyst for global adoption. Co-founder and CEO Matan Grinberg said combining Wipro’s enterprise reach with Factory’s AI-native platform creates a strong foundation for organizations seeking to significantly improve software delivery performance.

Redefining How Software Is Built

Founded in 2023 and headquartered in San Francisco, Factory is backed by prominent investors and is positioning itself at the forefront of a new development paradigm—one where humans define intent and architecture, while AI agents handle execution at scale.

As enterprises grapple with rising complexity, talent shortages, and accelerating digital transformation, the Wipro–Factory alliance highlights how agent-native software development may soon become a mainstream enterprise capability rather than a futuristic concept.
