Zydus Hospitals Expands Vadodara Presence With VINS Hospital Acquisition

Zydus Hospitals has strengthened its footprint in Gujarat by acquiring the Vadodara Institute of Neurological Sciences (VINS) Hospital, a move that significantly enhances its specialised neuro-care capabilities in the region. Announced on January 30, 2026, the acquisition brings VINS’ 50-bed dedicated neurology and neurosurgery facility under the umbrella of the 300-bed Zydus Multispecialty and Cancer Hospital in Vadodara.

The expansion marks an important milestone in Zydus Hospitals’ strategy to build comprehensive centres of excellence across key medical specialties.

Boost to Advanced Neurology and Neurosurgery Services

With the integration of VINS Hospital, Zydus Hospitals gains a dedicated centre focused on neurological diagnosis, treatment and surgery. The move enables patients in and around Vadodara to access advanced neuro-care closer to home, reducing the need for travel to larger metros.

The combined neuroscience portfolio will address complex conditions including brain and spinal tumours, aneurysms, movement disorders, stroke, trauma and epilepsy. The expanded services will also include advanced procedures such as deep brain stimulation (DBS) and comprehensive epilepsy care, including surgical interventions.

Specialists such as Dr. Suresh Nayak, Dr. Rakesh Shah and Dr. Mihir Acharya will work alongside the existing Zydus neuroscience team, which includes experts like Dr. Chaturbhuj Rathore and Dr. Bhagwati Salgotra.
