Vishesh Goel

Vishesh was a CA by profession and is an explorer at heart. As a consultant with Ernst and Young where he spent 6 long years, Vishesh was learning the tricks of the trade; but he always had an eye for entrepreneurship. The young and vibrant Vishesh had been in the lookout for business ideas to take up and nurture but nothing was exciting enough. The seed to his idea (FitMeIn) was planted when he was slogging for 14-16 hours a day at his work station without any physical activity as such and was only getting into new and bigger pants on a monthly basis. The sedentary lifestyle got to him at some point and Vishesh opted for fitness centers to help him de-stress. However, he was only bogged down by the rigid & stringent norms of these centers. Flexi work hours was still an alien concept back then. That is when he thought of FitMeIn as a potential and lucrative business opportunity to be explored in the fitness space in India. The next major challenge that he faced was getting the right people on board for such a unique idea. It made him dig deep into his wealth of contacts and friends from his schools days, people who could share his enthusiasm and risk taking ability and after attending lots of events for Startups he found the right mix of people for the job. Hailing from a family of self-made individuals has helped him immensely. Vishesh’s father a chartered accountant who runs a successful firm in Delhi NCR for over 25 years, is his idol. While his mother who runs an NGO of repute that works on various issues around education and health - especially for women, is his inspiration to keep going! Vishesh is an adventurous person who likes to experiment with new things, which reflects in his startup where one can avail hundreds of workouts under one roof. During his hectic work schedule he takes out time for a game of lawn tennis and would love to go about the unfinished business of learning to play the Saxophone. Apart from his parents whom he considers his soul mates; Vishesh also looks up to Steve Jobs for inspiration. His mission for FitMeIn is simple – to build something from scratch and see it scale up. His idea of success is when his product hits the lives of millions in a positive way and sense of achievement will only dawn to him when customers come back excited and tell him how the service helped them.
