The trip to China that aims to engage more Chinese companies to set up business in India comprises a delegation of 20 CEOs led by founder and chairman of Freecharge, Kunal Shah. He is also the Chairman of Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI).
The week-long trip starts on July 24. The main focus of the trip is to seek investment opportunities in Indian start-ups as well as get new ideas for new businesses and about scaling up operations.
The list of CEOs going in the trip includes- J Murugavel, the founder & CEO of Bharat Matrimony; Amarjit Batra, the CEO of OLX India; Pawan Gadia, the CEO Retail & Online of FernsnPetals; Dippak Khurana, the Founder & CEO of Vserv & Vmax; Nitin Gupta, the co-founder & CEO of PayU India; Ankur Singla, the Founder & CEO f Helpchat and Vivek Pani, the Co-founder & CTO of Reverie among others.
The CEOs will meet officials from Chinese stalwarts Alibaba, Baidu, Ctrip, Cheetah Mobile and Xiaomi. The team would also meet investors like Ant Financials and Start up Street during the week-long trip.
Apart from that, they also have plans to make a short visit to Mobile World Congress in Shanghai, where IAMAI has put an India Pavilion to promote Indian companies.
