Kolkata based singer songwriter Nischay Parekh and the Ocean Orchestra have come out with a new video for his song Panda. Nischay made news recently when he featured on The Guardian’s list of new artists to look out for from India (read here.)
Panda is a song from his latest album Ocean, an album that was recorded on location (hallways, kitchens, gardens, etc.) to stay true to the conceptualised sound. Shot in a single shot entirely in a single frame, the video complements the floaty, dreamy theme of the song, and pillows Nischay’s voice. Psychedelic eye trees look onto an interstellar world made up of planets, above mentioned alien eye trees waving to the melody, schools of animated fishing floating/swimming by and ghosts of kebabs past all revolving around the band which plays on unperturbed.
