A brewpub trying to emanate an authentic German vibe, Prost is the most happening bar in the Koramangala vicinity as of now. With some loud DJ Nights, incredible food and popular brews, the restaurant sees a massive footfall even on weekdays.
Beer:
Their varieties of beer are pretty standard compared to the dozen-odd other breweries in town. However, they have two unique flavours – Jonas’ Fave, brewed by their permanent German brewer, Jonas; and the apple cider, Cider Rider, which, when available, is definitely a must try for anyone. Aside from these two, they also have the regular series of ales, wheats and stouts too, but public consensus shows that they are not as good as in other breweries like The Biere Club. Food:
In the food department, steaks, pizzas, pasta and burgers are all viable options, with a decent quantity. Innovative salads like grilled pear and rocket, and egg fritter, make for great starters and the restaurant also serves random dishes like quesadillas, fish n chips and biryani. Complete with taxes though, the food is a tad expensive.
Reception:
Although it has taken Prost quite a while to get on its feet, it has been comparatively more efficient than the other nearby lounge Barleyz, which also delayed its brew beer for almost half a year due to lack of license. However, since Prost has opened up, it has seen a varied crowd of party-goers, business meetings, expats and even college students.
Overall, the place has a great vibe and in less than a year of its opening, shows great promise.
