TesseracT To Perform At NH7 Weekender, Bangalore

TesseracT has had quite some difficulty holding on to vocalists in the past. With Dan Tompkins‘s departure last year from the band to go and play with Skyharbor and his solo projects, the instrumentalists were working hard on their sound. After replacement vocalist Elliot Coleman also left the band for personal reasons, Ashe O’Hara took over and with his crooning vocals, cut their latest record, Altered State. Very different and down tempo from their previous material, some essences of djent and prog are still inherent, but with more jazz, external instruments like the sax, and a new singer, it is a dramatically different album from One. With a whole assortment of new influences, it will be very interesting to see how they adapt their new material for the live stage. Currently touring with Karnivool, another experimental progressive band, which is simply huge in our subcontinent.

Having already played thrice in India, once at the Great Indian Rock Festival, opening for Meshuggah in three cities, and also headlining IIT Kharagpur, their fan following in our country is immense, especially in Bangalore. They are definitely one of the national favorites for most popular contemporary international metal act. All set to play the Bangalore edition of the NH7 weekender, the band has hinted that they will be playing roughly half their new material and half their old stuff. This was what they revealed on their FB page – “Rehearsals for our headline set in India start today. Bringing out some old classics! Eden 3.0, Sunrise, Nascent, Lament, Hollow, Karma Camelean.”

TesseracT will be headlining the first day of the Bangalore edition of the NH7 Weekender on the  November 23 2013
