Launch of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 expected on January 19

The launch of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 expected on January 19 and Flipkart, most likely, is to be the official seller of the upcoming phone in India. As before, the latest from Xiaomi is expected to be launched at more mainstream prices and will boast of top-tier specs.

Already available in China, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 comes in two variants – housing a 2GB RAM and 16GB memory and 3GB RAM and 64GB – with expandable storage capabilities.

The phone comes with a a 5.5-inch FullHD IPS display with a 1080p resolution and curved 2.5D glass. It has a full-metal unibody and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. While the phone runs by a 10-core MediaTek Helio X20 processor, in India it is expected that the Qualcomm version would be launched – since Xiaomi is not permitted to sell MediaTek-based phones.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is dual SIM and runs Android Marshmallow-based MIUI 8 out-of-the-box. It supports 4G LTE and VoLTE-ready and is run by a 4,100mAh battery.

The phone comes in Gold, Grey and Silver colours and contains a 13-megapixel rear camera with phase detection autofocus and dualLED flash and a front-facing camera of 5-megapixel.
