Gangster among 3 killed inside Delhi Court, assailants in lawyer’s garb also shot dead

Jitendra Gogi, one of Delhi’s dreaded gangster was shot dead by two armed assailants in Rohini court complex on Friday. The attackers belived to be a henchmen of rival Tillu gang, entered the court premises dressed as lawyers and opened fire at Gogi killing him on the spot. Attackers were also killed in the cross-firing by Delhi Police. According to reports, more than 40 rounds were fired inside court complex number 206.




The incident also the massive security lapse on part of Delhi police. Jitender Gogi , was arrested in March last year and was considered a big catch for the Delhi police. Gogi took to crime in 2010 after his father’s death. He was wanted in several murder cases, including killings of gangsters. The two gangs had reportedly been at war for years and more than 25 people have died in their clashes.

“Two from rival gang opened fire at Jitender Gogi inside the court. That’s when police retaliated and killed those two assailants,” NDTV quoted Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana as saying. “The police acted swiftly and killed both the assailants. Total three dead, including Gogi,” he added.
