Merlin Entertainments will soon open their doors to India, exhibiting the legendary wax attraction entertainment hotspot in the heart of the capital city. Madame Tussauds Delhi is launching soon in Connaught Place at Regal Cinema adding another feather to the cap of Delhi’s tourist – and locals’- experiential zone.
Madame Tussauds, in Delhi, will be an attraction truly representing the fascinating world of politics, glamour, sport, and music where visitors get to interact with life-like figures of their favourite icons.
Expected to launch in June this year, it would be the 23rd edition of Madame Tussauds and is expected to showcase an array of influential icons from all across the globe from real as well as reel life. The wax attraction will exhibit over 50 figures from diverse leagues such as History, Sport, Music, TV and Film – including star-studded figures from Bollywood.
Marcel Kloos, Director New Openings Europe & Emerging Markets, said, “Our Wax Attraction will open a new chapter in entertainment to the populace of India at large by giving them the ultimate experience from the red carpet to stardom.”
Each wax figure is created with the expertise of over 20 international and local artists working at a time to ensure an authentic visitor experience. The Delhi edition is expected to display renowned personalities like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sachin Tendulkar and glamorous divas like Kim Kardashian as well.
According to Anshul Jain, General Manager and Director, Merlin Entertainments India Pvt. Ltd, they would be keeping a “broader focus on Indian celebrities”. He further added, “I am sure that all the locals and tourists will cherish meeting their idols who have influenced their lives in different ways.”
