The Holi Cow! Is Back In 2014

The world’s first multi-genre, multi-stage Holi festival brings in its signature madness and a heady dose of nostalgia for its 7th edition with moozic and colour!

As the first exclusive music festival dedicated to the joyous occasion of Holi, the festival is synonymous with madness, cutting edge music and an overall sense of joy. The people of Delhi have more reasons to celebrate as the famous Cow is getting bigger, better and fatter this year. The festival attracts people from across the world to be part of an experience like no other. The Holi Cow! festival started with the idea of creating a happy eco-system of artistes and art lovers who want to celebrate and express their love and passion freely without commercial compulsions. Over the past five editions, Holi Cow! has witnessed over 200 artistes from India and the globe performing to a 25,000 strong colourful audience from almost every corner of the planet. Over time, the festival represents the cultural landscape of the city with a unique lexicon of fashion, style, art and music to make for a joyous celebration.

With an already existing cult following of thousands, the festival grows each year by adding new and exciting elements, while staying true to celebrating the country’s artistic and cultural influences which is fundamental to the conception of Holi Cow! With several pre-gigs around the city at some of the best locations, fans will witness a melting pot of various musical genres and artistes coming together for the love of music in its purest form.  The Holi Cow festival is also known for its great musical acts of multiple genres, exploring hidden talent and giving a platform for different voices to be heard. Keeping up with this tradition of splendid musical line-ups, the 2014 edition of Holi Cow! will feature 3 ½ stages with Folk, Indie and World Music among others.

The 1/2 STAGE: The Holi Cow! Festival extends its support to the artists from the Kathputli Colony – in Delhi, who recently were in the news over displacement from their habitat – a congregation of actors, dancers, musicians, puppeteers, fire dancers and stilt walkers will be performing at a special stage showcasing their unique talents and ways of life that define who they are.

Festival Curator Raul Chandra is a serial story-teller in reality and runs a company by the name of State of Mind (Marketing, Events, Films, Theater, Music, Research) as a legitimate front to his covert story telling operations. He has also organized and curated other events such as Hillstock Mountain Festival, Equinox Festival of Electronic Arts and Psychlorama Fest.
