Paytm has found a bug in its iOS app, which is why users are facing service outages. Paytm has said that the issue is only prevalent on some iOS app users and that the service on Android and Web is working fine. Meanwhile they are updating their iOS app.
According to reports, the bug was preventing people from paying on Paytm. According to their blogpost, “the system logged them (users) out preventing them from further accessing their account.” The company will send an update of the app to Apple, which could take up to seven days for approval, post which it would be sent out to iOS users. Meanwhile, Paytm has assured their users that their data is safe and this is just a minor issue and they are working on fixing it.
Earlier this week, users faced difficulty in completing transactions, however, the company says it is a “minor issue”, that could have been possibly been caused due to the sudden surge in users and the related traffic.
