Diddy’s Prison Release Date Moved Up Again

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ projected prison release date has been moved up again, giving the convicted music mogul an earlier potential exit from federal custody. The latest date listed by the Federal Bureau of Prisons is February 6, 2028, nearly a month earlier than the March 2, 2028 date previously reported.

The development follows Combs’ transfer from Federal Correctional Institution Fort Dix in New Jersey to FCI Allenwood Low in Pennsylvania. While the reason for the latest release-date adjustment has not been publicly disclosed, the change follows months of scrutiny over his conduct and living conditions behind bars.

Diddy’s Release Date Changes Yet Again

Sean Diddy Combs’ projected release date has shifted several times during his incarceration. Earlier dates reported by media outlets included January 21, February 5, and February 20, before media outlets reported a March 2, 2028 projection last month.

The latest Bureau of Prisons listing now points to February 6, 2028. That represents an advance of 24 days compared with the previously reported March date.

It remains unclear what prompted the adjustment. Federal prison release projections can change as sentence calculations and applicable credits are updated, but no specific explanation has been provided for Combs’ latest revision.

The date should be understood as a projected release, not a guarantee that Combs will leave prison on that exact day.

Pennsylvania Transfer Follows Fort Dix Controversies

The 56-year-old rapper and Bad Boy Records founder was recently moved from FCI Fort Dix to FCI Allenwood Low in Pennsylvania. His time at the New Jersey facility attracted considerable attention following reports about alleged rule violations, contraband mobile phones, and claims that he received unusually favorable treatment from other inmates.

NBC News previously reported allegations that Combs had access to a contraband cellphone and received services from fellow prisoners, including meal preparation and massages. Reports also described claims that he paid inmates to perform chores.

Sean Diddy Combs was reportedly placed in solitary confinement following alleged disciplinary incidents. However, the claims surrounding his treatment and conduct behind bars should be distinguished from officially confirmed prison records.

His transfer also followed reports of a possible physical confrontation involving Jamaican drug lord Christopher Coke, also known as Dudus. Combs’ representative said there was no independent way to verify the alleged altercation, while a Bureau of Prisons spokesperson reportedly denied that the fight had happened.

Why Sean Combs Is Serving a 50-Month Sentence

Combs was convicted in July 2025 on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution under the federal Mann Act. A jury acquitted him of the more serious racketeering conspiracy and sex-trafficking charges.

A federal judge subsequently sentenced him to 50 months in prison. The sentence also included a $500,000 fine and five years of supervised release.

The convictions followed a closely watched federal trial that placed the music executive’s personal and professional life under intense public scrutiny. Combs has denied wrongdoing in relation to the broader allegations against him.

February 2028 Date Puts Diddy’s Prison Timeline Back in Focus

The latest adjustment means Combs could leave federal prison in early February 2028, assuming the current projection remains unchanged.

His move to Pennsylvania and the repeated revisions to his release date are likely to keep attention focused on his incarceration. However, the Bureau of Prisons has not publicly explained the latest change, and no one has confirmed that the February date represents a final release arrangement.

For now, February 6, 2028, is the latest projected release date reported for Combs, marking another unexpected development in the continuing fallout from his criminal conviction.
