Formed in 1972, this ancient Indian rock band set the tempo for the psychedelic rock genre in the country. It was one of the pioneers when it came to rock, a genre that is somewhat lost today. With covers of bands like Jethro Tull and originals too, front man Neel Chattopadhyaya was once hailed as the Hendrix of India. ‘Obessesion 77 ‘ , a vintage album by the band has in it some of the grooviest psychedelic rock and funk, that were unreleased until 2011 when the L.A. based, Now and again Records disclosed this relic . This album also happens to be the first Psychedelic rock album to be produced in India. We pay homage to the band in our soundplunge_test Pick of the day.
