TranServ initiates QR based payments

mVisa and Udio app users make cashless payments from a smartphone with just 3 taps.

Urging their merchants to go cashless, TranServ initiates QR based payments system across 500+ National toll plazas across India. Udio, the flagship brand from TranServ, is India’s first non-banking app to integrate mVisa technology on its platform. The technology allows all mVisa bank-app and Udio users to make cashless payments from a smartphone.

To create a QR code based payment infrastructure, Udio is working with toll operators across India – which will enable digital payments for mVisa enabled app users across the country.

Consumers would simply be required to open the Udio app or any other bank app with mVisa on their smartphones, scan the QR code at the toll plaza and once the name of the plaza appears on-screen, the user pays the required amount – which is deducted from the balance available in consumer’s app. The Udio app is available for free on Google’s Play Store and Apple’s App Store.

“With the recent cash crunch in Indian economy, Consumers have been witnessing massive queues and huge inconvenience at Toll plazas. Udio’s mVisa implementation at these Tolls Plazas will help Consumers with easier alternatives to pay change and enable free flow of massive freight & passenger traffic .” said Anish Williams, Co-founder & CEO at Udio.
