mytaxiindia.com, a car rental service provider for local, one-way travel and outstation tours or holidays for both B2B and B2C customers has unveiled a mobile app for outstation travellers. The mobile app which is available on iOS and Android offers outstation taxi cab bookings from 102 cities with 7000 plus taxi fleets across 10,000 plus routes.
The app allows customers to check the availability of taxis in real time, getting instant confirmation with driver details and checking the ride en-route on the map. Customers are provided with a choice of car ranging from Hatchback, Sedan and SUV. Customers also have the flexibility to pay via their like Credit / Debit card, Mobile wallet, EMI or Cash.
“The app provides real time inventory information which helps in optimum utilization of taxi fleets. We saw a 147% increase in the transactions and registered approx. 50% growth within first month of the launch of the App. The transporter’s per car earning has increased by 92%. Our target is to expand operations to 125 cities with one lakh active app users by March 2016,” said Anshuman Mihir, Founder.
The company that was founded in 2012 follows an affiliate business model, whereby it works with on-board taxi fleet operators across the country
“For people on the go, this app will bring ease and convenience. The initiative also gives choice to users in booking one-way taxis at half price. It allows customers to check the availability of taxis in real time and make customized itinerary-based bookings. The optimum use of transport inventory increased by 131% and transporter’s average running per car increased by 85%.” said Mohit Rajpal, Founder.
