Listen: Nu-Disco Duo Madboy/Mink’s Debut EP

Less than two months ago, Dualism Records released its first compilation Subterra of electronica singles including the likes of Nanok, Big City Harmonics, Your Chin, among others (read here). Off the list of eight singles was a gleamingly catchy nu-disco track called “Funkenstein” by Mumbai-based duo Madboy/Mink, comprising Imaad Shah and Saba Azad. Yesterday, on April 3 they released their five-track debut EP All Ball that reflects prominent tinges of viscous electro-swing in few of its tracks like “Alley Cats” and “Taste Your Kiss” reminding one of Austrian producer’s Parov Stelar compositions. However, rest of the tracks stick to more of the disco-funk vibe.

“Funkenstein” features on this album too. Besides having dished out 5 tracks in the EP, Madboy/Mink have plotted a five-city tour to promote their stylish new exhibits. Starting from April 4 at Bangalore’s Opus, then Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata, the tour finally will culminate on May 4 in Pune.
