Kanye West Makes Fashion Comeback With First Yeezy Runway Show in Four Years
Ye, aka Kanye West, brings Yeezy Season 01 to Los Angeles, with North West, Bianca Censori, and a star-studded guest list watching as unreleased music fuels the fashion brand’s return.
Kanye West has made his long-awaited return to the fashion runway, staging Yeezy’s first major fashion show in more than four years in Los Angeles on Wednesday, November 4. The high-profile presentation brought together some of hip-hop’s biggest names, featured appearances by his daughter North West and wife Bianca Censori, and offered a first look at the next chapter of a fashion brand still attempting to rebuild after its costly split from Adidas.
Held at Yeezy’s new flagship location, Droam 1, on Beverly Boulevard, the Season 01 show signaled Ye’s renewed push to put his fashion business back in the spotlight. The unconventional presentation combined minimalist, monochromatic designs with an unusual circular runway setup, while what appeared to be unreleased Kanye West tracks provided the soundtrack.
The guest list added to the event’s visibility. 2 Chainz, Kid Cudi, Big Sean, A$AP Nast, Jerry Lorenzo, Natalie Nunn, the Clermont Twins and Sab Zada were among those in attendance. Ye’s family members, North West and Bianca Censori, were also present.
Yeezy Season 01 Ditches the Traditional Runway
Rather than staging a conventional catwalk show, Yeezy opted for a more unusual presentation. Models walked in repeated circles around a large white hill-like structure, showcasing a collection dominated by minimal silhouettes and monochromatic styling.
The visual approach stayed close to the stripped-back aesthetic associated with the Yeezy label, with the clothing taking center stage against a largely understated setting.
One of the more unexpected appearances came from rapper Nettspend, who was among the models taking part in the presentation.
The show was also streamed live on Kick by streamer Neon, giving audiences outside Los Angeles an opportunity to watch the brand’s return.

Unreleased Kanye West Music Steals Attention
Fashion was not the only talking point. The presentation featured music that appeared to include previously unheard material from Ye, prompting interest among fans following the livestream.
One track included lyrics about checking someone’s social media likes and phone, suggesting a personal and confrontational theme. The songs have not been officially identified or released, meaning their titles, recording dates, and potential place in Ye’s future music plans remain unknown.
The new-sounding material added another layer to the event, especially as fans continue to follow the artist’s musical output alongside his fashion projects.
Yeezy Attempts to Rebuild After Adidas Split
The runway comeback arrives after a turbulent period for Yeezy. The brand’s multibillion-dollar partnership with Adidas ended in October 2022 following Ye’s antisemitic remarks and other inflammatory public statements. Its last major runway presentation, Yeezy Season 9, had taken place in Paris shortly before that separation.
The fallout left Yeezy facing major commercial and reputational challenges. Since then, the label has been working to re-establish its business through direct-to-consumer sales and new distribution opportunities.
Earlier in 2026, Yeezy began pushing wardrobe essentials through its own website. The brand has also moved towards renewed retail partnerships, including an arrangement with JD Sports involving independent Yeezy footwear releases.
Ye published a full-page advertisement in The Wall Street Journal in January 2026 titled “To Those I’ve Hurt”, in which he apologized for his past conduct. He discussed his bipolar disorder diagnosis and linked his behavior to a brain injury from a 2002 car accident, while acknowledging that his diagnosis did not excuse his actions.
New Yeezy Sneakers and Boots Expected in December
Yeezy’s business plans extend beyond the runway. The brand is preparing two footwear releases for December: the Yeezy 800 sneaker and the AB-01 Alpha boot.
The Yeezy 800 has been previewed in a black Stealth colorway, featuring a mesh base and angular overlays. Other possible color options, including pastel blue, green, and yellow, have also been teased, although their availability has not been confirmed.
The AB-01 Alpha is described as a military-inspired lace-up boot. Official launch dates and pricing for both models have not yet been announced.
The Los Angeles presentation therefore represents more than a return to fashion-show production. It gives Yeezy a renewed public platform as the company prepares new products and attempts to rebuild its retail presence.
Whether the collection and upcoming footwear releases can translate renewed attention into sustained commercial momentum remains to be seen. For now, Ye has put Yeezy back on the runway and ensured the brand is once again part of the fashion conversation.
