Partnership between FreeCharge and UrbanClap to push cashless payments

FreeCharge and UrbanClap team up to offer cashless payments across 97 service categories listed on the mobile services marketplace. The partnership will be in effect across Delhi/NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Kolkata and Ahmedabad.

Once customers book a service on UrbanClap they will receive the option of making payments in cash or online after the completion of service. All the customer has to do is select the online payment option and make the payment to UrbanClap once the service is completed.



Commenting on the partnership, Sudeep Tandon, Chief Business Officer, FreeCharge said, “The services landscape in the country is pre-dominantly unstructured and thus relies heavily on cash payments. UrbanClap is doing great in bringing about structure to the sector and provides a massive opportunity for cashless transactions with these services and their payments going online.
