TDT, as they are popularly known, hail from Kannur, Kerala, in 2009, where they started off with Metallica covers that got them booted out of an engineering college for their “Satanist’ vibe. Radical and diverse, these metalheads speak out against the rabble of local politics and the apathy of the urban youth to make a change. Their album, “How Are You? We Are Fine Thank You”, was released on New Year’s Eve at Metal Factory in Bangalore. A great platform hosting top national metal acts saw the album receive a good reception too. With a dynamic akin to groove metal, the influence of Malayali folk via Pottan Theyyam, a traditional rhythmic performance, is mixed beautifully to create a powerful and loud, yet distinctly Folk sounding groove.
