Drake Unleashes ‘Fear of Missing Out’: New Songs, Ella Langley Remix and a Wild Surreal Film
Drake has finally pulled back the curtain on “Fear of Missing Out,” and it is far bigger than a conventional music video. The rapper’s much-teased project FOMO arrived Tuesday night as an hour-long surreal film packed with new music, unexpected celebrity appearances, previously released tracks, and a highly anticipated remix of Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” feat. Don Toliver.
The project, which Drake with FOMO repeatedly teased as a “not so short film,” turned into a sprawling visual journey through his summer, mixing music videos, comedy-style sequences, luxury lifestyle imagery, and personal moments.
The release followed days of speculation over whether “Fear of Missing Out,” or “FOMO,” would ultimately become an album, a movie, a collection of music videos, or even something connected to a future tour.

Drake Turns FOMO Into an Hourlong Music Event
Directed by Theo Skudra, Liam Macrae, Jake Schreier, Zong Li, and Glenn Michael, “Fear of Missing Out” takes a deliberately surreal approach.
The film moves through Toronto and other locations, with Drake appearing alongside Sexyy Red, Winnie Harlow, Don Toliver, Stunna Sandy, Lena the Plug, and his mother, Sandi Graham.
The opening features “Cheetah Print” with Sexyy Red before Drake heads to the beach with Stunna Sandy for “Outside Tweaking.” The film then shifts into an unusual infomercial-style sequence explaining how to make a drink called the “Panty Dropper.”
Winnie Harlow appears in the visual for “New Bestie,” while Drake’s mother features in “True Bestie,” showing off her “Icemom” tattoo.
The project also includes visuals for songs fans already know, including “WNBA,” “Road Trips,” and “Hoe Phase.”
Drake’s Ella Langley Remix Steals the Spotlight
One of the biggest surprises is Drake’s long-rumored remix of Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas.”
Rather than simply adding a new verse to the country hit, Drake appears to take the song in a dramatically different direction. His version is presented as a slowed-down, underwater-style rendition and features Don Toliver.
The remix includes the chorus: “Drinkin’ yak all by myself / She’s from Texas I can tell.”
The collaboration is particularly notable because “Choosin’ Texas” has become a major success for Ella Langley, making Drake’s appearance one of the most unexpected crossover moments in his latest rollout.
Drake also premiered another new song with Don Toliver and introduced a separate track featuring Yeat, giving fans additional unreleased material beyond the previously announced projects.
Iron Man Suits, Boats and a ‘Hotline Bling’ Throwback
The visual spectacle doesn’t stop with the music.
According to the footage, Drake is seen dancing through his mansion, navigating Toronto waters aboard a lime-green boat and displaying a pair of reported $150,000 Iron Man suits.
The film also includes an intimate conversation involving his mother and her friends, adding a more personal element to an otherwise extravagant production.
The ending delivers one of the project’s strangest moments.
Drake finds himself standing inside a set resembling the iconic environment from his “Hotline Bling” video. Instead of ending with another dramatic performance, a stagehand eventually brings him a stepladder so he can climb out.
Shortly after the premiere, the YouTube livestream was switched to private.

Drake Calls FOMO ‘Self-Funded Surrealism’
Drake had spent weeks building mystery around the project.
Last month, he posted images of his family with the caption “FOMO 2026.” He later shared an image resembling a CD cover titled “Fear of Missing Out.”
Ahead of the premiere, Drake described the project as “self funded surrealism” and said it tells a story about making the most of one summer.
His accompanying message focused less on music-industry promotion and more on taking action in life. Drake encouraged viewers to reconnect with people they love, take trips, pursue creative ideas, start businesses, visit parents, and make difficult personal decisions.
He also used the rollout to push back against claims that music videos no longer matter.
Drake said he still cares about videos as much as he did when he worked on “Best I Ever Had,” ending his message with the phrase “be kind and rewind.”
FOMO Arrives After Drake’s Massive 2026 Run
“Fear of Missing Out” arrives after an unusually busy stretch for Drake.
The rapper surprised fans in May with three projects “Iceman,” “Maid of Honour” and “Habibti” — containing a combined 43 songs. The releases included appearances from artists such as Future, 21 Savage, Sexyy Red, Central Cee and PartyNextDoor.
Drake had been teasing “Iceman” for years, with more concrete previews beginning in 2025 through his “Iceman” livestream series on YouTube.
Now, with “Fear of Missing Out,” Drake has once again turned a music release into an event designed to keep fans guessing.
Whether Drake’s FOMO eventually becomes a standalone music release, expands into additional music, or remains a one-night visual experience is still unclear. For now, Drake has delivered exactly what the title promised: another reason for fans to keep watching.
