Drake’s HABIBTI Explodes From No. 116 to No. 2 on Billboard 200 After FOMO Expansion

Drake has stormed back into the Billboard 200’s top two, and four new tracks appear to have changed everything. The rapper’s HABIBTI has surged from No. 116 to No. 2 following the release of its expanded edition, HABIBTI (FOMO), delivering one of the album’s most dramatic chart rebounds yet.

According to the latest chart figures provided by Billboard and Luminate, the expanded album earned 71,000 equivalent album units in the United States during the tracking week ending October 8. That represents a 506% increase from the previous week, when the project sat at No. 116 on the Billboard 200 dated October 17, 2026.

The resurgence follows the October 2 release of HABIBTI (FOMO), which added four tracks to the original album and reignited interest in Drake’s May release.

Drake’s HABIBTI Makes a Stunning 114-Place Jump

The scale of HABIBTI’s rebound is striking. After dropping to No. 116, the album rocketed 114 positions to reclaim the No. 2 spot on the Billboard 200.

Streaming appears to have powered much of the comeback. Nearly 70,000 of the album’s 71,000 equivalent units came from streaming equivalent album units, which reportedly increased by 497% during the tracking period.

The numbers suggest that Drake’s strategy of expanding an existing project with previously teased material can generate a substantial second wave of attention. Rather than relying exclusively on a traditional album rollout, the rapper used anticipation surrounding unreleased songs to bring listeners back to HABIBTI.

The rebound also puts the spotlight back on one of the three projects Drake released on May 15: ICEMAN, HABIBTI and MAID OF HONOUR.

Solar Eclipse With Don Toliver Becomes the Big Attraction

Among the four additions, “Solar Eclipse,” featuring Don Toliver, has emerged as a major talking point. The track interpolates Ella Langley’s country hit “Choosin’ Texas,” connecting Drake’s latest release to a song that has already attracted considerable attention in the country music market.

The collaboration has also generated strong streaming interest. It reportedly reached No. 1 on the US Apple Music chart, while early projections suggested it could debut at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100.

If that forecast holds, the song would give Toliver his first top-five Hot 100 hit and mark Drake’s 48th. Those figures remain dependent on the official chart results, however, and should not be treated as confirmed milestones until Billboard publishes the rankings.

For Toliver, the collaboration offers a chance to reach an even wider audience. For Drake, it adds another high-profile release to a catalog that continues to generate chart interest through collaborations, streaming, and unconventional promotional strategies.

Four New Tracks Fuel the FOMO Expansion

Released on October 2, HABIBTI (FOMO) expands the original 11-track album to 15 songs. The additions are “Solar Eclipse” featuring Don Toliver, “Quebec,” “Cold Shoulder” featuring Don Toliver and Yebba, and “Classic PT2.”

The songs were previously introduced through FOMO, a short film that premiered during a YouTube livestream on September 15. The Toronto-centered visual gave fans an early preview of previously unreleased material, building anticipation for an official release.

The subsequent expansion turned that anticipation into renewed listening activity, with the album’s chart position and streaming totals rising sharply during the following tracking week.

The performance could also encourage further discussion about how major artists use deluxe editions and previously teased tracks to extend an album’s commercial life.

Drake’s Chart Success Comes Amid Grammy Questions

The HABIBTI comeback arrives as questions continue about Drake’s relationship with the Recording Academy. Reports indicate he declined to submit his latest albums for consideration at the 2027 Grammy Awards.

The reported decision follows years of tension between the rapper and the organization, despite his previous Grammy wins. His latest projects may therefore generate significant commercial attention without necessarily entering the upcoming awards conversation.

Meanwhile, “Janice STFU,” one of the biggest songs associated with Drake’s 2026 album run, has spent more than 20 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and previously reached No. 1, according to the supplied chart information.

Can Drake Take Solar Eclipse Into the Hot 100 Top Five?

The next major test is whether “Solar Eclipse” can convert its streaming momentum into a top-five Billboard Hot 100 debut. Its connection to Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas,” combined with the visibility of Drake and Toliver, has helped make the track one of the most closely watched releases from the expanded album.

For now, HABIBTI (FOMO) has already delivered a headline-making result. A jump from No. 116 to No. 2, powered largely by streaming, demonstrates how quickly a major release can regain momentum when previously teased music reaches an eager audience.

Whether “Solar Eclipse” delivers another chart milestone remains to be seen. But Drake’s latest move has put HABIBTI firmly back in the conversation and turned a four-track expansion into a major Billboard 200 story.
