Aiming to facilitate daily commuters with cashless transactions in buses, digital payments platform Freecharge has partnered with bus aggregator Shuttl. This would help over 15,000 commuters in Delhi-NCR to go cashless for their daily commute.
Consumers can pay for their ride on Shuttl app using the FreeCharge wallet. FreeCharge will make in-roads in Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Faridabad and Ghaziabad and acquaint daily habits of commuters to move from cash to digital payments.
With the help of this partnership, Shuttl will get instant access to millions of wallet users and leverage the best-in-class payment gateway from Freecharge.
Sudeep Tandon, Chief Business Officer, FreeCharge, said, “”Our partnership with Shuttl is another step in the direction to make daily payments more convenient for consumers. To drive adoption of digital payments we need to ensure payments are not just safer but swifter than cash too.
With over 20,000 rides per day and approximately 400 buses plying over 100 routes, Shuttl will be able to offer its commuters a swifter and secure way to pay with Freecharge.
“Commuters now don’t need to tender exact cash for their rides and can seamlessly complete their payment process with our wallet,” added Tandon.
Through such associations, Freecharge is further winning customer and merchant trust with 99% transaction success rate and is strengthening its partner ecosystem and expanding its footprint in travel and hospitality sector, said Tandon.
