Infosys launches digital skilling initiative Springboard

Indian IT major Infosys has launched Springboard, a digital reskilling initiative aimed at training 10 million plus people by 2025. The programme, initiated under the company’s CSR, will be available to everyone from students of Class VI to working professionals.

Powered by the company’s education technology platform Wingspan, it offers a set of courses developed in collaboration with world-leading digital educators like Coursera and Learnship.
Springboard provides a curriculum-rich virtual platform that delivers corporate-grade learning experiences, on any device, with closer educator-learner collaboration for students and college students to professionals and adults. Such training alongside formal education would help further accelerate digital reskilling initiatives in the country, said the company in a statement.

The programme will also allow learners to assess themselves and be certified through examinations. Nearly 4,00,000 learners and over 300 education institutions, NGOs and support groups were already part of this initiative. It is also fully aligned with India’s National Education Policy 2020, according to the official statement by the company.
