American death metal band Dying Fetus is all geared up for their debut performance in India at the first edition of Rain Revolt: Shillong Open Air that’s to be held on June 7. Apart from the American creators of death metal, the event will also host Nepal-based metallers Underside, Aizawl-based death metal band Third Sovereign, Bangalore’s progressive metalcore band Cheisrah (read more here) and Shillong-based death metallers Plague Throat.

Dying Fetus, which formed in 1991, is a band that expresses modern political and social concerns through their heavy metal. In their 23-year long career, they’ve released seven albums with a few interim EPs and demo transitional singles. Reign Supreme, their final and latest studio album sees vocalist John Gallagher, bass guitarist Sean Beasley and drummer Trey Williams shredding some sick riffs.

Rain Revolt: Shillong Open Air will be held at Polo Grounds, Shillong on June 7. To read about pop rockers of the North East, click here and for the Gospel adopters in the region, read here. Listen to the single “From Womb to Waste” below.
