Tata Group officially denies Ratan Tata’s alleged tweets on JNU students

Ratan Tata has suddenly emerged as the topic of discussion amid the controversy over the events at the Jawaharlal Nehru University. The Tata Group found itself in the middle of a social media cross fire when tweets emerged claiming that Ratan Tata during a Make in India session in Mumbai said that the Tata Group will not hire anyone from JNU.

The group had to officially deny comments that were attributed to Ratan Tata. “Mr Tata has not issued any such statement,” Tata Group said in its official Twitter handle late in the evening on February 15th.

A political controversy has emerged after the President of JNU’s student’s union Kanhaiya Kumar was arrested. He was arrested on charges of sedition. It has been alleged that some students of the university shouted anti-national slogans.
