Internshala partners with TrakInvest to offer Beginner’s Trading Certification

With the aim to empower the Indian millennial with equity trading skills and prepare them for careers in the BFSI sector, Internshala, the internship and training platform, has announced the launch of a One-month long equity market Beginner’s Trading Certification program on its platform powered by TrakInvest. TrakInvest is a Singapore-based education technology partner enabling this certification by providing a practical investing platform so that students can practice and learn with virtual money.

A recent report from Shine.com stated that Banking and Finance sector is expected to employ 8.4 million people in the next couple of years. Other than stock trading, there are a number of roles in the BFSI sector such as Sales, Marketing, Equity Research, and Financial Product Design where skills and knowledge gained through this training program would help students.

This training program has been designed by combining the offerings of two Ed-Tech companies and introduces stock trading in a disruptive learning format. Students will learn the concepts on Internshala after which they can practice various investment strategies that they just learnt in a simulation environment provided by TrakInvest, which mirrors real-life market environment globally. For this, students are given INR 50 lakh of virtual cash to buy and sell 15000+ stocks across 9 global markets, including India’s NSE.

At the launch of this training, Sarvesh Agrawal, founder and CEO, Internshala, said “We focus on up-skilling the youth. This course is essentially for those who wish to pursue a career in Banking and Finance sector. Just like communication skills, finance is also an essential life skill to have but no concentrated effort has happened till date to teach this to our youth. Through this training program, we hope to bridge that gap. The team behind TrakInvest has deep knowledge, passion, and years of experience on how to teach this to our students and have the best in a class simulation environment to foster real learning. With this partnership, we hope to get one step closer to Internshala’s dream of world full of opportunities for each of 2Mn students registered with it.”

The training would equip students with various aspects of finance and global markets and help them in making better investment decisions – a skill that would help every student and not just those who wish to pursue a career in Finance. For instance, as soon as young graduates start working, they need to start planning for their future and need to save and invest in various options accordingly – having undergone this training would better prepare them to make more informed investment decisions when it comes to personal finances.

“TrakInvest is all about a fundamental concept – learn, share, and earn. With these principles in mind, we partnered with Internshala to launch the BTC for anyone interested in strengthening their investing skills. Now people across India will have the opportunity to build a key life skill as they learn more about stock trading, and also have fun along the way”, said Bobby Bhatia, CEO and Founder of TrakInvest.
