Newton School of Technology Opens Admissions for B.Tech in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence: Pioneering Tech Education for the Class of 2024

Newton School of Technology, in collaboration with Rishihood University, has announced the commencement of the first round of admissions for its Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) program in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the Class of 2024. Following the remarkable success of its inaugural cohort, the 4-year program combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on practical skills, setting a global standard in tech education.

The application process, initiated on December 22, invites students from across the country who have secured more than 50% in their Higher Secondary School exams in 2022, 2023, or 2024, from a recognized board. Prospective students can apply for the Newton Scholastic Aptitude Test (NSAT), an online entrance exam that will be a key determinant for admissions.

Applicants who apply during the early intake round have the opportunity to avail a range of scholarships, increasing their chances of securing admission. Merit-based scholarships for tuition fees, ranging up to 100%, are available based on NSAT scores, interview performance, JEE, CBSE, KVPY, and Olympiads performance. Additionally, female students are eligible for higher scholarship amounts throughout the four-year program, as part of the institution’s commitment to fostering diversity and encouraging more women to pursue careers in technology.

The meticulously curated curriculum aims to empower individuals to think critically, solve complex problems, and thrive in the fast-paced tech-first environment, ensuring success in the industry. Newton School of Technology (NST), with over 2000 hiring partners, offers students placement assistance and six-month industry-relevant internships to gain practical experience with top-tier companies. The institution boasts a network of over 3000 alumni currently working in leading companies with placement packages ranging from ₹5-40 LPA.

Located in Delhi NCR, NST provides students with opportunities for global exposure through funded international study trips and conferences. Classes are conducted by international faculty from prestigious institutions like MIT, Duke University, and industry leaders from companies such as Amazon and Google. NST students have already made a mark in the global arena by qualifying for the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) regionals, a prestigious student coding competition, under the mentorship of industry experts.

The program also encourages entrepreneurial spirit among students by providing opportunities to pitch startup ideas directly to venture capitalists. An enticing ₹1 crore startup fund is available to support students in bringing their entrepreneurial visions to life.

Murali Madhav, a student enrolled in the program, expressed his excitement and gratitude for the global exposure provided by NST. Madhav mentioned, “The tech-integrated program played a major role in supporting me score the 1st rank in IEEE Haryana, opening a plethora of opportunities in the future.”

Siddharth Maheshwari, Co-founder of Newton School, emphasized the institution’s commitment to bringing the future of tech education to life. The eight-semester curriculum is designed to evolve continuously, integrating the latest advancements in Computer Science and AI. Maheshwari stated, “With a fresh batch of students starting the course, we look forward to equipping them with the skills and knowledge to tackle real-world challenges and become future tech leaders.”

The program’s structure involves a focus on programming fundamentals, data structures and algorithms, web development, and foundational software engineering in the initial years. The third year delves into user research, growth strategy, mathematics for AI, machine learning, and natural language processing. The final year emphasizes entrepreneurship, enabling students to build startups, lead teams, and gain a comprehensive understanding of the startup environment, preparing them for leadership roles in the tech industry.
