Oopar Club, a Bengaluru-based community-driven social networking and socialization-tech platform, has secured ₹5 Million in its first pre-seed funding round led by startup community-builder PedalStart. The funding round also saw participation from angel investor Ankitt Jain, Co-Founder of Paper Arizona. Prior to this investment, the startup had been self-funded since its inception in 2022.
Oopar Club aims to create a unique community-based ecosystem that enables adults to make real friends, socialize, and maximize personal growth through a single platform. The startup focuses on technology, gamification, and community engagement to address the challenges of urban loneliness, isolation, and stagnant personal growth among young and middle-aged working professionals in tier 1 and tier 2 cities in India.
With a strong proof of concept (POC) already established, Oopar Club plans to utilize the pre-seed capital to enhance its technology and flagship platform, expand its core team, and grow its user base. The startup aims to increase its paid community memberships tenfold over the next year and expand its offline operations to more than 20 Indian cities.
