wudhomes Raises $287,000 as Bengaluru Startup Targets India’s Home-Furnishing Market
Bengaluru-based home-furnishing startup wudhomes has raised ₹2.5 crore (approximately $287,000) in pre-seed funding led by AJVC, as it looks to change how consumers discover, personalize, and purchase furniture and home interiors.
Founded by Vasu Arneja and Aditya Singh, the startup is building an integrated platform designed to bridge the gap between home-design inspiration and the practical challenges of furnishing a living space. The funding round also saw participation from Seekho co-founders Rohit Choudhary, Keertay Agarwal and Yash Banwani, alongside other angel investors.
The company plans to use the capital to develop its technology, strengthen its retail experience, build a vertically integrated supply chain and expand the operational infrastructure supporting its business.
Why wudhomes Is Targeting a Major Home-Furnishing Problem
For many consumers, designing a home begins with inspiration from social media, design platforms, showrooms or recommendations. Turning those ideas into a functional, coordinated living space can be considerably more complicated.
Customers often have to compare products across multiple retailers, work within a budget, assess dimensions, coordinate colors and styles, and manage deliveries from different vendors. The result can be a fragmented purchasing experience, leaving consumers to coordinate the process themselves.
wudhomes is attempting to address this challenge by connecting discovery, product curation, personalization, and fulfillment within a single customer journey.
Rather than treating furniture as a collection of independent purchases, the startup aims to help customers make decisions that work together across an entire living space.

From Online Inspiration to Physical Retail and Home Visits
Furniture is wudhomes’ initial focus, but the company’s ambitions extend to the wider home-furnishing category.
Its model combines digital inspiration, personalized product recommendations, spatial visualization, physical retail, and home visits. These services are intended to help customers evaluate furnishing options in the context of their actual homes before making purchasing decisions.
The startup has already furnished more than 200 homes, the company says. It has also opened a retail outlet on Sarjapur Road in Bengaluru and introduced a home-visit service through which consultants assess customers’ spaces and suggest suitable furnishing options.
These early customer touchpoints give wudhomes a foundation for testing how digital discovery and physical assistance can work together. The company’s longer-term objective is to connect the different stages of furnishing a home rather than focusing solely on selling individual furniture pieces.
AJVC Backs wudhomes’ Integrated Business Model
AJVC, founded by investor Aviral Bhatnagar, led the investment. The firm sees potential in wudhomes’ attempt to combine online discovery with physical retail, personalized curation and supply-chain capabilities.
Bhatnagar said the startup was approaching home furnishing as an end-to-end customer experience rather than simply a product category. He highlighted the combination of digital discovery, visualization, retail and home visits as a way to address the gap between finding inspiration and actually furnishing a home.
For the founders, the opportunity lies in building a business that brings several traditionally disconnected parts of the industry together.
Arneja and Singh believe an integrated approach could give customers a more coordinated experience while creating a business model that can scale beyond conventional furniture retail.
Can wudhomes Change How India Furnishes Its Homes?
wudhomes is entering a market where consumers have many ways to buy furniture but still struggle to coordinate products, design choices, and fulfillment.
Its approach seeks to address that gap by bringing more of the furnishing journey together under one model.
The latest funding gives the Bengaluru startup capital to develop that proposition. Whether it can turn the concept into a scalable business will depend on customer adoption, execution, and its ability to balance personalization with efficient operations.
For now, wudhomes is betting that the future of home furnishing lies not just in selling furniture, but in helping consumers turn their ideas into cohesive homes.
