[dropcap]L[/dropcap]ogiNext has acquired cross-category last mile delivery YourGuy, which is based in Mumbai. The combined cash and equity deal mean YourGuy’s 200 delivery personnel and the team of 20 will be absorbed by Sprintr, the last mile delivery vertical of LogiNext.
Founded in 2014, YourGuy has been carrying an average of 4000 deliveries a day and has worked with multiple segments including Pharmaceuticals, Documents, Food, Retail, Laundry and Grocery.
Dhruvil Sanghvi, CEO of LogiNext, said, “We will be using the Sprintr platform to on-board regional last-mile delivery players who use our tech and pay us a share in the commission. LogiNext will also direct business to these regional players to incentivize the association.”
Working with clients like Godrej Nature’s Basket, iChef, Wellness Forever, Suburban Diagnostics and several Tiffin Services, YourGuy perfectly fits the vision and expansion plans for LogiNext. With this acquisition, Paytm-backed LogiNext will be doubling its daily orders.
“Apart from Mumbai we are also looking at acquiring a last mile delivery player in Delhi-NCR to strengthen the Sprintr vertical,” added Sanghvi.
Launched in December 2015 by the logistics solution platform, mobile app Sprintr is its last mile delivery platform. Any individual can sign up and become a delivery boy on their app. On the other end, their clients push orders and delivery requests via this software. Sprintr has a presence in four cities as of now.
The last mile vertical of LogiNext works with e-commerce players Paytm and Myntra as well as other food delivery companies and pharmacies which constitute 30 per cent of the last mile business.
