Royal Orchid Hotels Expands Its Presence with a New 300-Room Upscale Hotel in Mumbai

Royal Orchid Hotels Limited, a renowned hospitality brand, has inked a Lease/Revenue sharing agreement with MASA Hotels Pvt. Ltd for their upcoming 300-room 5-star hotel in Mumbai, Maharashtra. This strategic move follows ROHL’s recent announcement regarding the opening of a 288-room 5-star hotel in Surat, Gujarat, both of which will be part of ROHL’s new upscale brand.

Convenient Location and Luxurious Amenities

The upcoming 5-star property in Mumbai, set to open in late 2024, offers a prime location just a 2-minute walk from the terminal front door at SAHAR T2. Spanning over 12 floors, the hotel will feature a banquet ballroom, meeting floor, grand lobby bar, and 24-hour interactive food options. Additionally, the 11th level will house a business lounge catering to club and airport travelers, along with amenities such as a spa, gym, wellness facilities, and a rooftop infinity pool and bar.

A Vision for Excellence

Chander K Baljee, Chairman & Managing Director of ROHL, expressed excitement about the new property, stating, “We are thrilled to introduce our new 300-room 5-star property located in the heart of Mumbai at SAHAR T2. Positioned as a must-stay destination, we eagerly anticipate welcoming guests to experience our new brand and providing them with a fresh and unforgettable experience in Mumbai.”

Arjun Baljee, President of ROHL, highlighted the focus on modern traveler needs, stating, “With this amazing asset, we will usher in a new category of upscale hotel in India – just what the modern traveler needs and wants. We are reimagining the entire guest experience – from the entrance to the rooms, the technology, facilities offered – every touchpoint is being thought through with a new lens.”

Strategic Expansion and Broadened Presence

Philip Logan, Chief Operating Officer of ROHL, emphasized the company’s commitment to the west region and its intention to broaden its presence with multiple assets in a Tier 1 hub. “The property’s distinctiveness and location make it a must-stay in Mumbai for both leisure and business travelers,” Logan added.

Amit Jaiswal, Chief Financial Officer of ROHL, highlighted Mumbai’s status as a global economic hub, stating, “Mumbai is a global economic hub and ROHL forthcoming 5-star will position Royal Orchid Hotels as the go-to choice for leisure and business travel in the city. Often compared to New York, Mumbai is home to the Bombay Stock Exchange, offering a plethora of opportunities to host travelers and extend our reach.”
