Drake Breaks Billboard History With ‘Janice STFU’ as Triple Album Era Dominates Charts

Drake has rewritten the record books once again. The rapper debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with his explosive new single “Janice STFU,” while simultaneously flooding the chart with an unprecedented 42 songs in a single week.

The historic achievement comes after the release of Drake’s triple-album rollout  – ICEMAN, HABIBTI, and MAID OF HONOUR, which also debuted at Nos. 1, 2, and 3 on the Billboard 200 chart. It marks the first time any artist has controlled the top three spots on the albums chart at the same time.

‘Janice STFU’ Gives Drake Another No. 1 Hit

“Janice STFU” opened atop the Billboard Hot 100 with more than 40 million streams in its first week, becoming Drake’s 14th No. 1 single in the United States.

The milestone officially pushes him past Michael Jackson for the most Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 songs among male solo artists in chart history.

Drake now ties Rihanna and Taylor Swift with 14 chart-toppers overall, trailing only Mariah Carey and The Beatles on the all-time leaderboard.

The song also became Drake’s 22nd No. 1 on Billboard’s Streaming Songs chart, extending his own record in the category.

Triple Album Release Dominates the Hot 100

Drake’s new era produced one of the most dominant chart weeks ever seen in modern music. The rapper placed nine songs inside the Hot 100 top 10, raising his career total to a staggering 90 top-10 hits.

Tracks including “Ran to Atlanta,” “Whisper My Name,” “Shabang,” and “Make Them Pay” all debuted in the upper tier of the chart, powered largely by streaming numbers.

The achievement breaks the previous single-week record of 37 songs charting simultaneously, previously held by Morgan Wallen.

Drake also became the first artist in history to surpass 400 total Billboard Hot 100 entries, extending his lead as the most-charted act ever.

A New Commercial Peak for Drake

The success of ICEMAN, HABIBTI, and MAID OF HONOUR signals one of the strongest commercial runs of Drake’s career.

The chart explosion arrives amid continued speculation about the rapper’s relationship with Universal Music Group and questions surrounding his future distribution plans. Fans have also closely watched the rollout following Drake’s public feud with Kendrick Lamar over the past year.

Despite industry controversy and changing streaming trends, Drake’s audience reach appears stronger than ever.

The rapper also reclaimed momentum for hip-hop on the Hot 100. “Janice STFU” became the first rap song in over a year to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Drake Continues to Redefine Chart Success

From streaming records to album domination, Drake’s latest Billboard performance reinforces his place among music’s most commercially successful artists.

While debates around awards, industry politics, and rap rivalries continue online, the numbers surrounding Drake’s newest releases tell a clear story: the Toronto superstar remains one of the most powerful forces in global music.

With more albums reportedly planned and fans already dissecting the massive triple-project rollout, Drake’s record-breaking 2026 may only be getting started.
