Veteran actor Kamal Haasan extended heartfelt wishes to his “dear friend,” Rajinikanth, after the latter underwent a non-surgical procedure on Tuesday for a heart-related issue. Rajinikanth, a beloved figure in Indian cinema, was treated for swelling in the main blood vessel of his heart. A stent was placed to address the condition, which the medical team at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai, described as non-life-threatening.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Kamal Haasan shared a post in Tamil, saying, “I wish my dear friend, Superstar @rajinikanth, who is hospitalized, a speedy recovery.” His message of support resonated with fans and colleagues alike, who have been sending their prayers for the superstar’s recovery.

According to a medical bulletin issued by Apollo Hospitals, Rajinikanth’s procedure went as planned, and he is in stable condition. Dr. R K Venkatasalam, Director of Medical Services at Apollo Hospitals, assured well-wishers, stating, “Mr. Rajinikanth is stable and doing well. He should be home in two days.” The Tamil Nadu Health Minister, Ma Subramanian, also confirmed that Rajinikanth’s condition remained stable and expressed his relief after consulting with the medical team.

Along with Kamal Haasan, Fans across the world have been pouring in their wishes for Rajinikanth’s speedy recovery. Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi and Chief Minister M K Stalin both extended their prayers and support for the actor.
