At the 71st Annual Golden Globes Awards 2014 ceremony, U2’s “Ordinary Love”, which featured in the 2013 autobiographical film Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, bagged the award for Best Original Song. Despite stiff competition from powerhouse tracks by nominees like “Atlas” (Coldplay) from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, and “Sweeter Than Fiction” (Taylor Swift) from One Chance, U2 managed to fight all odds and emerge victorious.

In the TV segment, action-drama series Breaking Bad bid farewell to the award ceremony by bagging ‘Best Television Series – Drama’ award. Sadly, the team won’t be around any longer until the spin-off Better Call Saul proves its mettle.
