NASSCOM in partnership with IBM launched the Techstartup.in in Hyderabad

Looking to provide a one-stop solution for start-ups and alter the technology landscape, NASSCOM in partnership with IBM has launched the Techstartup.in in Hyderabad.

Influencing transformation in the country, the launch of Techstartup.in in Hyderabad reflects the trends in the digital world. Digital transformation has increasingly become a deeply embedded necessity across functions and operations in start-up enabling functions including networking and connecting with the overall ecosystem in real-time.



Techstartup.in was launched in Bangalore last year followed by Delhi and Mumbai this year. It allows venture capitalists and investors to network on a digital platform with start-ups in a particular city. The platform acts as a central hub for the tech startup ecosystem and allows for exchange of ideas and tools, even connecting citizen entrepreneurs to opportunities in the tech ecosystem. The platform enables market leaders of a city support and connect with tech start-ups in that city.

“What we aim to do is use the latest technology, create an apt platform for city based startups to connect, network and find the right people who will help them scale up in the otherwise competitive industry,” Mr. KS Vishwanathan, Vice President, NASSCOM, said in a statement.



He further added that while re-inventing technology requires several changes in infrastructure and talent among other things and requires considerable amounts of time to develop, they do “plan to take this ahead in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities too” citing that these are the potential start-up hubs in India.

IBM Cloud has been assisting start-ups scale their businesses while solving real-world problems and launch innovative, future-ready products. In regard to the tie-up announcement, Seema Kumar, Country Manager, Ecosystem Development, IBM India & SA, said, “Techstartup.in is the right platform for startups to get started and meet the best of minds from the industry and we are honoured to be the technology partner for this initiative by NASSCOM.”
