A brazen statement on Control Alt Delete’s homepage that reads ‘Pay What You Fucking Want’ is a humble request to all those who want to see the metal fest come into being. After all, someone needs to make a firm point about improving the DIY indie scene, a counter-culture if you will, that needs pro-activity. And therefore, Control Alt Delete, the indie gig series organized by the good folks at Bajaao and ennui.BOMB, is all about the metal this time.
The campaign has raised Rs. 73,000 insofar and has only achieved 30 per cent of its target. With Zygnema, Undying Inc, Devoid, Providence, Reptilian Death, Gutslit, Noiseware, and Grammy Winning Effort, the event unites the country’s most notable metal acts into one evening of sheer rebellion. So again, ‘pay whatever you want, but pay something’, has been and is the motto of Control Alt Delete.
