Jugnoo gets help to launch its UPI payment solutions through a tweet to PM Modi
Jugnoo tweets PM Modi and within 48 hours of their tweet to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government enabled Jugnoo to announce its Unified Payment Interface (UPI) enabled payment solution – Jugnoo Pay.
For the past few months, the auto rickshaw based hyper-local brand had been working towards the launch of a UPI-enabled payment solution but had been facing some technical issues with their SDK (Software Development Kit).

Jugnoo founder and CEO, Samar Singla, had tweeted to PM Narendra Modi about the issue and validated the government’s stance toward the ecosystem of start-ups. Within 48 hours of the tweet, the issue was resolved.
Jugnoo Pay is a UPI-enabled payment solution that uses mobile numbers as an identifier. It allows merchants to request and consumers to approve of payments that are then made directly through respective bank accounts.
