The new Street Fighter movie trailer has arrived, and it is making one thing abundantly clear: this is not the time to expect a serious, grounded video-game adaptation.

Paramount Pictures appears to be going all-in on the glorious ridiculousness of Street Fighter. The latest footage is packed with colorful characters, outrageous martial-arts moves, exaggerated performances and enough chaotic energy to make longtime fans wonder whether the studio has finally understood what makes the franchise so much fun.

And honestly? That could be a very good thing.

Street Fighter Is Embracing the Madness

After the first teaser generated plenty of excitement, the new Street Fighter trailer pushes the dial even further.

For now, however, Street Fighter appears ready to throw everything it has at the big screen.
