The event saw participation from around 800 women and 250 cars starting from Hotel Sahara in Mumbai moving on to Worli Sea Face, then Peddar Road, Girgaum Chowpatty, Marine Drive followed by Churchgate and concluding at Aamby Valley.
The rally’s objective is to provide a voice to safety concerns for women and this year it focused on educating women on road safety. It also aims to give women a chance to speak out about various issues they may face and the need for a safe city.
Amidst the cars spotted with paint work and vinyl, WIAA announced that the rally will be held in four cities the coming year. The event results are expected to be announced at an award function on International Women’s Day.
