Blogbeats raises undisclosed pre-Series A funding from Michigan-based investor

Aiming to strengthen its marketing department and further expand its reach abroad, Bangalore-based a geo- and time-tagged blogging platform BlogBeats has raised an undisclosed amount in its pre-Series A funding round from a Michigan-based investor.

Founded in 2014 by Priyank Jain and Lokesh Jain, BlogBeats is run by TechBoulder Technology Solutions Pvt. Ltd. It allows users to exchange information about places and interests they encounter in their daily lives and travels.

Priyank, founder of BlogBeats, in a statement aid, “At a time when startup funding is slightly on a dip, we are proud to successfully complete this pre-Series A round, which is also a strong endorsement of the potential of BlogBeats to transform how content will be consumed in the future.”


“Our next aim is to launch our platform overseas as well. We will be taking help from our investors,” added Priyank.

BlogBeats aims to be a content creation and discovery platform, which would encourage blog creation and other forms of content across more than 200 categories, all tagged with a geo-location and time-period to enable enhanced search and discovery and better interactivity. They also have plans to support multiple Indian languages.

The 16-member-team also has plans to create a B2B (business to business) platform to help organisations manage their digital content.

While Lokesh is a graduate from ISB and BITS Pilani, Priyank did his masters in technology management from Valparaiso University, Indiana.
