Innov8 opens new centre in Chandigarh

Experiencing immense success after it opened in Delhi- Connaught Place on October last year and also being tagged as the coolest co-working space, Innov8 has now opened its newest centre in Chandigarh.

It is located on the ground floor of City Emporium Mall, Sector 29, which is built on an area of 7,000 square feet and has a carpet area of 5,000 square feet. The centre can accommodate up to 140 people. The Delhi centre had received a whopping 1,000 applications when it opened, and now houses 50 companies and 150 members.

Dr. Ritesh Malik, the founder of Innov8, told media, “Chandigarh has a charm in itself. It is known for its quality of life & infrastructure has started gauging a lot of interest for the entrepreneurs, freelancers & the business community. We had always thought of that why isn’t there a good co-working space in the tri-city area? That led to Innov8 Chandigarh.”

He continued, “After Innov8 in Connaught Place, there was a lot of pressure on us when it came to designing expectations. We wanted to go with bold and minimal design theme and use the tall ceiling to our advantage. We chose to create a mix & match of bland black environment & colourful & playful lounges, making the space full of energy, enthusiasm & passion led vibrancy.”

Innov8 is the brainchild of Malik, Shailesh Gupta, and Sumit Ranka, which aims to get the best of minds together and just be the right launch pad to foster free thinking, innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship. Shailesh was previously working on his app Workplaces in Sunnyvale, Bay Area, SF and is now the second largest shareholder of the company.
