Lenskart.com is emerging as one of India’s largest and only online retailer of fashionable and stylish eyeglasses, sunglasses and contact lenses. Started in 2010 by Peyush Bansal and his team, Lenskart.com in the last three years has been growing rapidly with a 300% increase in its turnover and the current team size of 150 people.
Peyush Bansal, a former Microsoft product manager is the man behind ’Lenskart.com’. After bootstrapping multiple online ventures Peyush initiated Lenskart.com. He has also secured funding from two venture capitalists, namely IDG Ventures ($4 million in October 2011) and Ronnie Screwvala-led Unilazer Ventures ($10 million in February 2013).
