Badminton star Saina Nehwal and Sixth Sense Ventures will invest around $2 million in Soothe Healthcare. This is Saina Nehwal’s first as an investor where she will hold a minority stake in the health care startup, along with Sixth Sense Ventures
Soothe Healthcare is a feminine hygiene healthcare platform that manufactures sanitary napkins under the brand ‘Paree’.
The sanitary pad market in India geared for growth and if estimates are to be believed then the market will see a growth from Rs 4,500 crore to Rs 21,000 crore in the next seven to eight years.
According to founder Sahil Dharia, the funding will be channelized towards marketing and distribution. Sooth Healthcare already has tie-ups with Walmart and ITC and plans to grow their distributed network nationwide with launches in all the major cities.
