BonV Aero Wins at the Drone Hackathon During the Amaravati Drone Summit
BonV Aero has been recognized as a winner at the Drone Hackathon, held during the Amaravati Drone Summit on October 22. This prestigious event, organized by the Andhra Pradesh Drones Corporation, attracted over 500 participants, each tasked with developing innovative solutions to challenges in drone technology. BonV Aero’s winning focus was on using drones to deliver essential goods to remote and hilly regions where traditional transportation is inefficient.
BonV Aero’s recent achievements include setting a world record for high-altitude drone flight at Umling La Pass, at 19,024 feet, where their heavy-lift UAV completed a hover flight test while carrying a 30kg payload. This record-breaking performance highlights their commitment to providing effective logistics solutions using drone technology. As a key supplier of UAVs to the Indian Army, BonV Aero is already making significant strides in addressing critical transportation needs in difficult terrains.
Satyabrata Satapathy, CEO and Co-Founder of BonV Aero emphasized that this victory validates their mission of developing drone-based logistics solutions for areas where conventional transport falls short. The hackathon provided a platform for teams like BonV Aero to demonstrate how their technology can improve the delivery of essential goods and services.
The Amaravati Drone Summit by Andhra Pradesh Drones Corporation also featured keynote addresses by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Civil Aviation Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu, who stressed the importance of Andhra Pradesh’s role in driving drone innovation. Both leaders called upon drone manufacturers to use the state as a testing ground for “use cases” and “proofs of concept,” further solidifying Andhra Pradesh’s ambitions to become a hub for drone technology.
The summit concluded with an impressive drone show featuring 5,500 drones, highlighting the advancements and possibilities in the drone sector. BonV Aero’s win at the hackathon underscores its leadership in drone-based logistics and its contribution to advancing drone technology in India.
